Project Summary
Situation
Users of the MVP for MyAdvisor dashboard faced significant challenges, particularly those with limited financial knowledge. The charts and data were overly complex and difficult to interpret, which made it hard for them to grasp their financial situation or track their goals effectively. This complexity often led to confusion and frustration, preventing users from making informed decisions about their investments and financial strategies.
As a result, many users felt overwhelmed and disengaged, ultimately hindering their ability to achieve their financial objectives.
Solution
To address the challenges faced by users of the old MyAdvisor dashboard, the following design solutions and UX enhancements have been implemented:

Simplified Interface: A clean, intuitive layout reduces clutter, making it easier for users to navigate and find essential information quickly.

Interactive Data Visualizations: Charts and graphs have been redesigned to be more user-friendly, incorporating clear labels, color coding, and tooltips that provide contextual information. This allows users, regardless of their financial knowledge, to understand trends and make informed decisions.

Goal Tracking Features: A prominent goal tracking section allows users to set, monitor, and adjust their financial objectives easily. Visual progress indicators provide immediate feedback, motivating users to stay on track.
